Kurnool

Ahobilam
There are nine temples around the Nallamala Forest range. Few temples can be reached through trekking. Some temples are inside the cave. Some temples are very difficult to trek.the Lord Narasimha is a vara prasaddhi (One who bestows blessings readily). The exact legend has it that the almighty God took a form of a creature with body of man and head of a lion with super human strength. The God's motive was to kill the demon and save His devotee. The complex form of the Creature is due to the various talismanic powers and blessings the demon had.

Mantralayam
Mantralayam is a town in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh, India. It lies on the banks of the Tungabhadra river. This town is noted for the presence of the Samadhi of Guru Raghavendra Swami, a Madhwa saint and follower of Sri Madhwacharya.The original name for the place was Maanchale, has been sanskritised into Mantralaya.the Mantralaya town is very peaceful and nice. there is guesthouse built by the mutt.

Srisailam
Srisailam is a holy town and Mandal, situated in Nallamala hills of Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is 232 km south of Hyderabad, on the banks of River Krishna. A famous temple dedicated to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Bhramaramba is located here. Srisailam is one among the various Jyothirlingam of India. A multipurpose dam has been built across River Krishna and caters to the irrigation and power needs of the state.

Srisailam Dam


Srisailam Dam is 512 m long on the Krishna River and is set amidst beautiful natural scenery - ghats, cliffs, craggy ridges, plateaus and dense forests. It has twelve crest gates to hold a maximum water level of 885 ft (270 m) It has a live storage of 274 thousand million cubic feet (TMC). This reservoir was originally designed for hydropower generation only but was later converted to a multi-purpose facility for water supply and irrigation.

Mahanandi
Mahanandi is located to the east of Nallamala hill ranges in Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is a picturesque village surrounded by thick forests. About 15 km radius from Mahanandi, you can see nine Nandis known as "Navanandis" and Mahanandi is one of the Nava Nandis. The Mahanandiswara Swamy Temple, an important shrine, is located here. A famous festival is held here annually during February and March to celebrate Shivaratri.

Yaganti
Sri Yagantiswamy temple is one of the few temples patronized by one of the great dynasties of India. Every year Shivarathri is celebrated and a large number of devotees from all over Andhra Pradesh visit Sri Yagantiswamy temple. An amazing feature of this temple is its Pushkarini. No one knows how the water flows out from the bottom of hill to the Pushkarini in all the seasons.Yaganti Umamaheswara Swami temple was constructed and completed by the first Vijayanagara Sangama Kings Harihara Bukka rayalu in the 15th century. It was built according to Vaishnavaite tradition.

Adoni
Adoni is known as the grain market of the south. It is also famous for its cloth and gold market as well as for cotton trading. It has more than 100 cotton mills and oil mills as such it is affectionalty called the Second Mumbai.

Belum Caves
Belum Caves is the second largest cave in Indian sub-continent and the longest caves in plains of Indian Subcontinent.it is called Belum Guhalu. Belum Caves has a length of 3229 meters, making it the second largest natural caves in Indian Subcontinent. Belum Caves have long passages, spacious chambers, fresh water galleries and siphons.
