Guntur

Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary
Painted Storks, Spotted Pelicans and other birds migrate from various countries such as Siberia, Australia and use the sanctuary. [1] The water tanks in the village are unique as they provide refuge to many species birds including endangered Spot-Billed Pelicans and Painted Storks. The bird population in these tanks used to be around 12,000 previously, however lately only about 7000 birds roost in this dwindling habitat through the year.


Undavalli caves
These caves have been carved out of solid rock on a hillside in the 4th to 5th centuries A.D.[1] They have four stories with a huge statue of Lord Vishnu in a reclining posture sculpted from a single block of granite inside. Other shrines are dedicated to Trimurti and to Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.[2] They are among the earlierst example of Gupta architecture, primarily primitive rock-cut monastery cells carved into the sandstone hills.


Amaravati
The town was the site of a great Buddhist stupa originally built during the reign of emperor Ashoka. It was completed in 200 CE and is decorated with carved panels which tell the story of Buddha's life.

Shiva Temple
The Amareswara (Shiva) temple walls have lot of inscriptions that give information about the kings who ruled over the area. The present holy shrine of Amaralingeswara (Lord Shiva) temple is associated with the reign of Vasireddy Venkatadri Nayudu who ruled the region before the advent of the British rule (See Amararama).


Nagarjuna Sagar Dam
Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is a masonry dam built across Krishna River in Nagarjuna Sagar, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the world's tallest masonry dam, at a height of 124 metres, and creates a reservoir holding up to 11, 472 million cubic metres.

Ethipothala Falls
11 kms downstream, from the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam are the Ethipothala waterfalls, in a beautiful valley. The Chandravanka stream here cascades into a breathtaking lagoon and flows on through the lush valley.


Chebrolu
Chebrolu or Chebrole is a town and a Mandal in Guntur district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.
